I am writing this testimonial on behalf of my wife who has terminal cancer and has been a patient of the Papakura Private Hospital for nearly four years.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hospital to anyone with a family member, who like my wife, is living with a terminal disease. The great care she has received has been wonderful and has helped her live a lot longer, having been given 6 months to live when first diagnosed with cancer.

The nursing staff are extremely multicultural, with a mix of ethnicities, beliefs and personalities that help make everyone feel welcome. Many staff have worked at this hospital for a number of years. They are all very good with the patients and are polite, helpful and courteous to families and visitors. They have a very good General Practitioner, Dr Tristan Burtenshaw who visits the hospital twice weekly. Another advantage is that the owners, Gaylene and Owen Purdon, spend some time working at the hospital themselves.

I have no hesitation in recommending Papakura Private Hospital for wonderful care of your loved ones.
